Weekly Prayer Guide 1

This is a new family friendly prayer guide so you and your family, along with the rest of the Trinity family, can gather together each evening, at 7:00 PM if possible, and pray together. Each day and each week we will provide you with resources for your family prayer time. It is our hope as your church staff, that during these trying times, we would be a more praying church and have families that regularly pray together.
Our foundational prayer scripture for this ministry is 2Chronicles 7:14 which Pastor Brian referenced in last Sunday’s Message:
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
Monday: Health: SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
  • Pray for all of our family members to get well or stay well.
  • Pray for our friend’s health at school or work or in our neighborhood.
  • Pray that many people will reach out to Jesus during this serious time were are in.

Tuesday: Trust: SCRIPTURE: Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (NIV)

  • Pray that we, as a family, would grow stronger in our trust and faith in God.
  • Pray that others would see our trust and faith in the Lord everyday.
  • Pray that we would submit to the Lord and follow His path for us.
Wednesday: For Our Church – Scripture – 1 Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (NIV)

  • Pray that our church would care for and love one another.
  • Pray that our church would serve our communities.
  • Pray that our pastors and elders would have wisdom and lead well.

Thursday: For Our Leaders: SCRIPTURE: 1Timothy 2:1-2

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (NIV)

  • Pray for our President and national leaders during these serious times.
  • Pray for our Governor and our county leaders as they serve our state.
  • Pray for the leaders of our communities, and our first responders.

Friday: Salvation: SCRIPTURE: Titus 3:5a

“5 He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy…” (NASB)

  • Pray that many of our friends and family ask Jesus to come into their life to be their Lord and Savior.
  • Pray for our church to reach many people so they would be saved.
  • Pray that God would use me to bring others to Jesus to be saved.

Saturday: Greatness and Glory of God. SCRIPTURE: Psalms 115:1

“Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” (NIV)

  • Pray that our church would continue to be a praising and worshipping church, and would worship Him greatly on Sunday.
  • Pray that I/we would learn how to better praise the Lord. (Ps.145-150)
  • Praise God for His creation, for this world.

Sunday: Godly Character: Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23.

“22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

  • Pray for this fruit to be evident in every person in my immediate family.
  • Pray that we may grow in godliness and character.
  • Pray that I might demonstrate godly character everywhere I go.
