An Encouraging Word from your Pastor

December 2020 Blog

Well Church, what a year it has been…2020 has definitely been one for the books!

Instead of focusing on what 2020 was not, let’s instead, choose to think about all that the Lord has done through 2020.  We have seen the Lord draw people to our church in a huge way throughout this year: 34% growth! We have seen 76 people be baptized and we have seen over 250 people graduate Growth Track and join our church all within 2020 and a Global Pandemic.  Pause and remember back through 2020 on what the Lord has done for you – sometimes we just need to pause and look intently for His provisions; not just the fear, frustration, & weariness that 2020 has brought.

Another amazing part of this year has been the God size stories of life change that have happened through 2020.  Stories of those who given their life to Christ through our online ministry both here locally and those who live around the country, the stories of new staff members joining our Trinity family, the stories of open doors that the Lord has given us to step up and serve our community in new ways, and we can not forget the amazing open door to take the amazing faith step in launching the Together We Center for our community through the Together We Journey!!

Over the last few weeks, we have been walking through Hebrews 11 on Sunday mornings and we have all been challenged to live by faith.  No matter our background, no matter where we have been, or what we have done, the Lord can take us and use us to alter history for His Good & His Glory if we will choose to live by faith!!  Church, let’s end 2020 by faith and let’s approach 2021 by faith!  Let’s continue taking faith risks, all in the name of Jesus!  Let’s continue to be a church that reaches people, disciples people, and sends people into our community as Kingdom Influencers!!

So, as we come to the end of the year we move into a time of giving, and may we approach it by faith!  May it be a time to end the year strong as a church!  A time to allow God to show off in a big way through our faithfulness to give through the Together We Journey and towards the General Budget of Trinity!!

On December 13th we will hold our next “Big Give Sunday” in which we are challenging everyone to give your end of the year gifts to the General Budget of our church, along with giving their second offering towards the Together We Journey.

Goals for December:

Our goal for the Together We Journey is $300,000 to be given on or before December 13th

December 13th – 31st our December goal with Year End Giving towards the general budget is $208,314.  For December 2020 we are praying for a total of $508,314 to be given as we end the year.  That’s a God size goal, that only He can provide as long we are obedient and live out of complete faith & trust!  Would you pray as an individual or as a family and ask the Lord how you can be a part of this giving journey to Advance the Gospel in our community.

Together we are a reaching, discipling and sending church impacting generations for Christ!  Pray with us as the people of God that we would all be faithful in our giving and that the Lord will keep using it to advance the gospel in our community and around the world!!!

Jennifer, McKenna, Parker and I are so thankful for you!!  We love our church, and we love you!!  I truly can’t wait to see what the Lord does in 2021 through you, through our church and in your lives!!  Please keep praying the Lord will continue to watch over us, protect us, shine His favor on his and keep us unified under His mission of advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!!

This holiday season, I am so thankful for you & the opportunity to be your pastor.
