An Encouraging Word from your Pastor

April 2021 Blog

WOW!  That is really the only way I can describe all that the Lord is doing in and through our church right now.  We have seen the Lord grow our church over 18% through the Covid season we are still walking through.  We have seen lives changed weekly. This year alone we have seen 32 being baptized, 24 of which have been in the past 4 weeks.  Each one of those numbers has a name.  That name has a story and God is moving in each story!  WOW!!  We have completed our Together We Journey and are now in the process of moving forward in upgrading our worship center and building the Together We Center!  So much is happening, and we can’t be more thankful for all that the Lord is doing.

Let’s keep praying that the Lord will keep allowing us to be a reaching, discipling and sending church impacting generations for Christ.

This is a HUGE week for our church as we celebrate Easter Weekend.  A week that we pause and reflect on all Jesus did for us.  This past Sunday, known as Palm Sunday, is when Jesus made his triumphant entrance into Jerusalem.  He then headed back to Bethany that night, which is the town that Lazarus, Mary and Martha lived.  The Monday of Holy week we find Jesus leaving Bethany, going over the Mount of Olives and re-entering Jerusalem.  On that Monday over 2,000 years ago Jesus cursed a fig tree, cleanses the temple, then leaves the city and heads back to Bethany.   Tuesday, Jesus heads back to Jerusalem and we read that Judas is bargaining with the Sanhedrin to betray Jesus.  Wednesday we are not sure all that Jesus did, but most believe that he spent the day staying in Bethany.  Thursday, Jesus has the last supper with his disciples, washes their feet, spends time praying with them, and predicts the coming days.  He then heads to the Garden of Gethsemane and is betrayed by Judas.  From that point on we find Jesus under trial.  We will look at the rest of the story this Sunday morning.

Good Friday, we will remember all Jesus did through worship and the Lord’s supper.  Our Good Friday worship service starts at 7:15pm.  Before the service we will have FREE FOOD for the whole family at 6pm, an EGG HUNT for the kids at 6:30pm, and a special worship night starting at 7:15pm.

THIS SUNDAY we will have 3 services in the room // 8am, 9:30am and 11am.  We will also run our services online at 2pm, 6pm, 8pm then again on Monday at 9pm.

This is a great weekend to INVITE A FAMILY TO CHURCH:

  • Text through your contacts inviting all in our area to join you Friday and Sunday.
  • Be sure you pass out your door hangers.
  • Hand out invite cards.
  • Share invites on Social Media.

It is truly the perfect weekend to invite someone to church.

We will see you all Sunday!!!  Can’t wait!!!
