June 2020 Blog

On June 1st, we have officially entered PHASE 3 of re-opening in Oklahoma! Due to this progress through re-opening our great state, TRINITY WILL BE MOVING FORWARD WITH PHASE 3 as well BEGINNING THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 7th!

Throughout this whole COVID-19 journey, we have followed and respected Governor Stitt’s leadership and guidelines for the state of Oklahoma as we open back up and we will continue to do so as we enter Phase 3.  The past 5 weeks of being back in the room have been nothing but AMAZING! If this season has taught us anything, it has definitely ignited a renewed value for the body of Christ in each of our lives and crafted a deeper appreciation for the privilege it is to gather each week in the room to worship together! Each week more and more of our church family, as well as new first time guests, are coming back to worship with us in the room and are getting re-connected each week.

Church, let’s never get use to what the Lord is doing through our church all over our community, online, around the world, and in the room each week.  It is nothing but miraculous and we get to be a part of a modern day movement of God!!

SO WHAT DOES SUNDAY LOOK LIKE?

This past Sunday we made the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT that we will go back to 2 SERVICES

9:30 and 11:00am – THIS COMING SUNDAY, JUNE 7th!  We have learned since we started 2 services back in January and throughout Covid-19, that 9:30 and 11:00am are the most strategic times to allow our community to come to church.

Here are a few answers to some questions that you might have as we move to this 2 service format THIS SUNDAY – June 7th!

* What will our Next Generations Ministries look like in this 2 Service format?

Pre-School and Kids ministry will happen during both services

Student ministry small groups will take place during the 9:30am service.

* Will we have our Sunday morning Small Groups during this time?

At this time we are NOT doing any Sunday morning small groups outside of our Next Generation aged groups since they are not included in the “most vulnerable” population age group.  We hope to launch our “Young at Heart” small group for our Senior Adults on Sunday, August 16th along with launching a new small group during the 9:30 hour designed for Parents of Kids and Students that we will release more information about closer to date.

* When will we do our ONLINE Campus?

We are going to focus on during ONE SERVICE for our ONLINE Campus as we move forward.  Remember you can go back and watch the online service anytime during the day, at any time so as a result we will air it LIVE during the 9:30 service.  No matter what time of day you may tune in online with us, we’d still love for you to connect with us, comment, share it and like it!

Serve Team Launch Night–   This is for all of our Trinity Serve Team members, in all ministries, to gather together for prayer, training and encouragement as we get ready for August 16th Fall kickoff.

Sunday, August 16thKick off Sunday.

We are praying that by this fall kick off Sunday that everyone will officially be back with us in the room and that all will invite at least 1 family to join with them on this Kick off Sunday!  Let this be a day that we will talk about as we remember 2020!!  Be praying for this day and starting investing in a family you can bring with you on this Sunday to our 9:30am or 11:00am service.

August 16 – 19th

Trinity Students – Back to School conference:  Each night of this back to school week, we will have a worship service for students as they start the new school year.  We are praying that throughout this week that every student who lives in our area would at least be invited to attend, come, & hear the Gospel!!

As you can see, we are working hard to create great opportunities to casually get back engaged & connected with people and back into church.  As we have said from the beginning, we are in this with you and when you are ready, we will be ready for you to come back.  Until then, enjoy our ONLINE Campus whether you are on vacation, at a ball tournament, or just not ready to be back in the room just yet.  We are in it with you!!!

Can we ask that you help us get the word out?  As you finish this blog think of at least one other person or family that you can text to invite to join us ONLINE or in the room this Sunday at 9:30am or 11am.  Help us by sharing and commenting on all we do through a week.  You have no idea the impact of your share or a comment!!

Let me leave you with this…

“But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.’” Numbers 20:12

“A mature and robust trust in God can open the door of opportunity; while a flippant, immature, or irreverent trust can slam shut the door of opportunity.” – Boyd Bailey, “Seeking Daily the Heart of God”

Trust the Lord through all circumstances and don’t let your feelings detour you off God’s path.  Trust in the Lord through your emotions and don’t let your emotions determine your steps.  Trust in the Lord through your worry and never allow your worries to become your authority.  Trust in the Lord through your sadness and never allow sadness to make a regretful decision for you.  TRUST determines your level of FAITH!!   Trust is built in the valleys not on the mountain tops so in your darkest moments let your faith be the brightens by how you TRUST the Lord.

Remember that no matter what, let’s keep our eyes upward and our vision forward as e walk through all things.  The Lord has IT; so TRUST Him with IT!!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Grateful for you church!

Praying for you,

Pastor Brian
