Welcome:
Welcome to Trinity where our goal is to help people love God and love others. This
website helps to give you a quick overview of our church and its
ministries and hopefully, answers many of the questions you may have.
We are a Christian evangelical church that is Southern Baptist in denominational affiliation. Even
though we are a Baptist church, when people visit Trinity they usually
notice right away that we are not a typical Baptist church. It’s
true, Trinity definitely doesn’t fit the stereotypical mold that most
people have in their minds when they think of a Baptist church.
That’s because we believe a healthy New Testament church must be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally sound. This is not an easy task. Most churches tend to lean one way or the other and become unbalanced. At
Trinity, we have worked hard to build a church that effectively
addresses the cultural needs and issues of our community while not
compromising biblical fundamentals.
To
accomplish this we continually endeavor to establish a strong sense of
community in our church (when you visit, this is probably the first
thing you’ll experience). We combine this
with energetic worship, biblically sound preaching and teaching that
communicates the “whole counsel” of God, and innovative/caring
ministries that attempt to reach our community one person at a time.
Many
who visit Trinity come from numerous church backgrounds such as
Methodist, Presbyterian, Nazarene, Charismatic, Catholic, etc. Finding themselves in a Baptist church (some for the very first time) they wonder, “What do Baptists actually believe?”
Our doctrinal and philosophical positions can be best explained using two categories: “what we believe” and “what we value.” On
our “What we believe” page, you can find a synopsis of the essential
beliefs that define historic Christianity and the specific Baptist
beliefs that distinguish us from other denominations. On our “What we value” page, you can find a list of our core values that outline the principles we emphasize most.
Again, welcome to Trinity. We’re excited that you are interested in us–we are definitely interested in you. If you have additional questions, our ministry staff and elders would be delighted to visit with you further. We look forward to meeting you.
